Bajaj Auto Ltd., one of India’s leading automobile manufacturers, partnered with Symbiosis International (Deemed University) to set up the BEST center at Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) in Pune. This initiative is designed to provide the necessary skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience to make graduates employment-ready in today’s fast-evolving technological landscape.
The BEST center is located at Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) in Pune, Maharashtra. Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is renowned for its educational excellence and modern facilities.
The partnership and the establishment of the BEST center were officially announced in 2023. The certification courses began shortly after, offering opportunities to graduates and diploma holders to enhance their skills.
Course Details
The BEST center offers two main certification courses:
- Diploma Trainee Engineer (DTE): A 4-month program for diploma holders.
- Graduate Trainee Engineer (GTE): A 6-month program for engineering graduates.
The curriculum includes topics like Mechatronics, Motion Control, Sensor Technology, Robotics, Automation, Industry 4.0, and Smart Manufacturing. The training is split into 70% practical and 30% theoretical learning.
Eligibility Criteria
- For DTE Course: Diploma in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Automobile, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
- For GTE Course: B.E./B.Tech in relevant fields with at least 50% marks. Final semester students are also eligible to apply.
Fee and Scholarship
- Course Fee: Rs. 25,000 (includes hostel, mess, and local travel).
- Scholarships: Bajaj Auto Ltd. covers 70% of the fee, Symbiosis provides up to 14%, and students contribute 16%.
Admission Process
- Registration: Complete the registration form and upload required documents.
- Registration ID: Receive a unique registration ID after form submission.
- Registration Fee: Pay Rs. 2000.00 (adjusted in the final fee).
- Document Verification: Verify uploaded documents.
- Test and Interview: Aptitude test and interview if required.
- Admission Fee: Pay Rs. 23000.00 to confirm admission.
- Confirmation: Receive an admission confirmation email.
